Me; collection of worries -
Gil Zablodovsky
11.04 - 11.05.2024
Curatorial Advisor: Gili Siton
In the solo exhibition 'Me; collection of worries’ asks Gil Zablodovsky to deal with the "worry" disorder through "extended present" as an idea and as a work practice, examining processes whose starting and ending points are not significant out of equanimity. The present continuous indicates what is happening now, but can also refer to what is happening in the very near future, or to actions that are repeated as a habit or periodically.
The exhibition space is built as a digital installation that combines video and sound works, projections and text that is dubbed, shines and dissolves. The involuntary and subconscious action of "concern" is expressed in the exhibition through works that simulate movement, sound and light, some of which are scheduled and some of which depend on the viewer.
The exhibition invites the viewer to meet it in its current form, but also to join together to give personal and shared recognition and to continue and experience it in the present that will continue after it.
